I’m down in LA meeting with Warren Zide, who produced the American Pie trilogy. Warren is a big fan of Firefox, and the first question he asks of friends in the industry is: “So, do you know what Firefox is?”
The answer is always: “Of course I do. Clint Eastwood. Great movie!”

You’d be surprised how many people think of the movie before the browser. Of course I’m trying to do my part to spread the word, too.

Mass press coverage will soon sort this out. A newspaper running a story about cracking the 50 million mark would have been useful, but here in the UK the papers were half asleep.
Still, we’ll be at 60 million before long, so there’s another chance for a crack at the whip.
Once more Joe Public’s get wind of the word, it’ll become a household name I’m sure.

At first I thought Firefox was about a fire on a fox, but I’m glad it’s not, because that’s not good.
Anyways, me, my big brother, and a friend of mines are working on a big surprise since we are big Firefox fans, but I can’t say what it is, but you will all find out.
I hope you all have a nice weekend!

The 50 million story did make it to the technology front page on BBC News, and we’re not really going to be any better than that.

Talk about generation gap…
But then again, given that even the poster child of this whole UberHype wasn’t even born back then… :\

Very good film, actually. Early 80’s and one Eastwood film that was NOT a western. Some folks may not have heard of it since the video was out-of-print for awhile. But now you can go out and grab the DVD if you haven’t it.

When I started introducing firefox to my friends, a common question was whether they had to think in russian to use it. Those wags.
