Well, I’m the big 2-0 today. Time to pass the buck to a new generation of middle schoolers.

I love the last line of this job recruiting offer I just received:

“Hello Blake, I thought you might be interested in a full time-position working for a firm I represent in San Francisco. The people who started the firm are also from Stanford. They have a social networking site that is profitable and interesting (two things that don’t always go hand in hand). They need an entry level java engineer to help build their business. I have attached the job description. Let me know if you would be interested, or forward my information to anyone who would like to work for a smart fun company in San Francisco ?

Bachelors Degree Required.”

After pulling 3 consecutive all-nighters, Joe and I reached our first internal milestone today and delivered an investor demo. It went very well, so I’m currently in celebration mode. Unfortunately, the rewards that constitute celebration for me—eating, sleeping and going outside again—are apparently enjoyed by most other people on a regular basis. Go figure.

What’s unsettling is that I really just want to dive right back into the code again. I want to pull all-nighters until we get this thing out there, and once we do, I want to pull all-nighters to talk with our users about their experiences. This sleep thing is really holding me back.

I feel like I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that PCWorld has named Firefox its 2005 Product of the Year.

But the important thing is that Alex likes it.
